I wanted to officially introduce myself. I’m the new Intellectual Freedom chair for NHLA. Up to this point things have been blessedly uneventful in New Hampshire’s IF area, but I’m here if you need me...

2009 NHLA Executive Board Goals & Objectives

  1. Broaden services to better serve all members

·         Plan a Small Libraries Summit

·         Record conference presentations and make them available online

  1. Add an international dimension by creating the International Librarianship Committee and exploring possible projects
  2. Study the feasibility of creating a professional participation/recognition program which would

·         Encourage professional development

·         Encourage participation in NHLA

·         Recognition for job accomplishments, responsibilities and expertise

·         Recognition for volunteer work or paid work in related field

  1. Renew and determine priorities and projects for the Advocacy Committee
  2. Continued focus on scholarships and continuing education
  3. Continue making visits to library coops
  4. Continue to improve communication with members
  5. Improve online presence and increase participation

  1. Click on the Create a Page link in the top right corner of this page
  2. Give your page a name
  3. When asked to select a folder for your page, select the Members folder
  4. When asked to choose a template, you can choose the Team Member page, or just select to start with a blank page.
